Decline & Fall is a satirical novel by the English writer Evelyn Waugh, first published in 1928. The author mocks British society in the 1920s applying black humor to show how distant people have become from the concepts of "morality" and "ethics". The novel is partially based on Evelyn Waugh's biography: he portrayed his student years and teaching experiences.
