«The Man Without Qualities» in German with a Parallel Translation

"The Man Without Qualities" is an unfinished novel by the Austrian writer Robert Musil, first published in 1930. The action takes place in Austria-Hungary before the First World War. In the center of the plot is the "competition" of Austria-Hungary and Germany for the best patriotic celebration of round dates in 1918, which became fatal for the whole of Europe. The ending of the novel remained open due to the death of the author in 1942.
