Wilhelm Busch was a German poet, illustrator and painter. He is best known for his children's book “Max and Moritz”. At one time, he was the most popular artist-poet in Germany. He successfully mocked the philistinism and hypocrisy of the 19th century, as well as the weak negatives. Some early American comics parodied Bush's authorial style. This book contains the last of Bush's poems that were published during his lifetime.
