"Poor Folk" is a novel by Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, published in 1846. The text consists of the correspondence between Makar Devushkin and Varvara Dobroselova. He is a poor titular councilor. Varya`s life after the death of his father also leaves much to be desired. They send each other letters in which they talk about problems and worries.
