"Oblomov" is a novel by Ivan Goncharov, published in 1859. In the center of the plot is the landowner Ilya Oblomov, who lives in St. Petersburg. Oblomov is a lazy dreamer who does not work, does not live an active social life. The servant Zakhar does everything for him. The complete opposite of Oblomov is his friend Andrei Stoltz. The novel is full of allusions to the society of that time.
