"My Universities" is an autobiographical novel by Maxim Gorky, written in 1923. The main character, Alyosha Peshkov, enters Kazan University, which remains a dream for him. In a big city Peshkov finds himself in a difficult situation. In order to survive, he is forced to look for work and housing.
