«Hansel and Gretel» in Polish with a Parallel Translation

"Hansel and Gretel" is a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, telling the story of two children whom their stepmother sends into the woods to get lost and die there. They find a house made of candies and gingerbread, which belongs to an evil witch. She locks Hansel in a cage to fatten him up for eating, and forces Gretel to work for her around the house. However, Hansel and Gretel find a way to escape and return home.
