«Agide» in Italian with a Parallel Translation

As in most of Alfieri's works, the constant contempt for tyranny resonates in this tragedy, placed in the mouth of a protagonist who, only in the midst of so many affections, is willing to sacrifice himself for the common good and at the expense of particularism.
