Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is a science fiction novel by the French writer Jules Verne, published from 1869 to 1870 in the "Education and Entertainment Magazine". The novel's protagonist is Professor Aronax traveling on the navy frigate Abraham Lincoln in search of the animal unknown to science.
