Son of Man is a novel by the Paraguayan novelist Augusto Roa Bastos, published in 1959. The novel revolves around two characters, Miguel Vera and Cristóbal Jara. The first one is an uneducated "son of man" like Christ. The second is a well-to-do revolutionary who can betray his ideals. Only one of them can lead his people to salvation.
