"The Woman in White" is a novel by Wilkie Collins, published in 1860. In the center of the plot is the meeting of the artist Walter Hartright with a mysterious woman in white. This event does not go out of his head, and he tells about it to his students. They begin to find out who this ghostly stranger was.
