The Fellowship of the Ring is a novel by the English author John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, published in 1954. This is the first part of The Lord of the Rings trilogy of novels. Frodo, a nephew of Bilbo Baggins, has to destroy One Ring the existence of which endangers the life of the whole Middle-earth. In order to do that the hobbit has to go toward Orodruin. To make sure that this dangerous trip does not turn into the last one in the life of the hero his friends come to his aid.
