The Dressmaker of Dachau is a novel by the British woman historian and writer Mary Chamberlain, first published in 2015. The plot is based on the story of the 18-year old English girl-dressmaker Ada Vaughan, who dreams of opening her own tailor shop. But all her ideas will never materialize because Europe falls in the Second World War. Ada happens by circumstance to be in Paris where she has to survive completely alone and without knowing the language.
