The Lost Honour of Katharina Blum is a novel by Heinrich Böll, written and published in 1974. The story describes the panic in Germany of 1970s over Red Army Faction terrorism. The protagonist, Katharina Blum, is an average housekeeper whose life changes drastically when he meets her new lover. It turns out that he is a terrorist wanted by the police. After the couple spent the night together, the SWAT team breaks into the apartment. The terrorist disappeared, and Katarina gets involved in the dirty journalistic games of the yellow press.
