The Case of Sergeant Grischa is a novel by the German writer Arnold Zweig. The novel was first published in 1927. It is considered to be the author's best work condemning German militarism. This book depicts the fate of the Russian war prisoner Grigory Paprotkin. He escapes from German captivity and attempts to reach the Russian border. His sweetheart Anna finds him a passport of a man named Bjuscheff who just escaped from the Russians.
